Principal's Message

As we are nearing the last days of school, I would like to thank you for a wonderful year. We have a wonderful school, and I am proud to be part of the Klahowya community.  More importantly, you have wonderful students who are learning more each day!

This weekend we were scheduled to have Saturday School. Unfortunately, with our internet and phone outage this morning, we were not sure that our services would be restored and made the call to cancel this event. While there will be no Saturday school on Saturday 6/8, we will host after school study sessions for High School Students on Monday 6/10 and on Tuesday 6/11 from 2:45 - 4:00pm. We also will run Saturday School on Saturday 6/15 from 9am - 12pm for High School students. If students attend these sessions, they can complete make up tests and can complete and turn in work for classes.  To support students, we will have snacks available for students at these sessions.

This evening at 7pm is our 8th Grade Celebration Dance. We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th Grade students as they complete middle school and transition into high school! 8th Grade students attending this event should already have a ticket to attend.

On Monday 6/10 we are holding a High School Awards Assembly from 7:50 - 8:35 am in the Main Gym. (During this time, middle school students will visit homeroom academy classrooms).  Parents are welcome to attend the assembly for students who are receiving an award and we have sent a message home with an invitation.  Seniors (12th grade students) - We held a special awards event for you last week. As a result of this, 12th grade students are welcome to attend the HS Awards assembly to cheer on your underclass friends, or you are welcome to arrive at 8:35 for the beginning of 1st period. (To make your entry to school easier, one of our staff will be greeting students at the student parking lot entrance)

On Tuesday 6/11 we are holding a Middle School Awards Assembly from 7:50 - 8:35 am in the Main Gym. (During this time, high school students will visit homeroom academy classrooms).Parents are welcome to attend the assembly or students who are receiving an award and we have sent a message home with an invitation.

Next week is a busy week filled with awards assemblies, 12th grade students last day, a Moving Up Assembly on Wednesday, the start of Finals, and Graduation for the Class of 2024! We are excited to see you on campus next week as we celebrate the accomplishments of our students. Please see the attached link for our schedule:

High School Football

Hello everyone,

I'm here to talk about two opportunities you have to help out the High School Football Program. We are fundraising to get new away game jerseys and pants.

Here are the two opportunities for you;

#1 If you don't have any plans and need your car to get washed the High School Football will be washing cars at the Newberry Hill Chevron this Saturday (June 8th) from 9 am -2 pm. All donations will be appreciated.

#2 is we are trying to sell out our Brown Bear Carwash tickets. They are $12 and can be used at any Brown Bear in the State of Washington. We only have 194 tickets left. We will be trying a new fundraiser in the fall so we want to just all of these out! These will be sold by all of the student athletes but can also be purchased through our AMAZING Book Keeper, Teresa Gotchall until June 17th.

Thanks for your support,

Fly Eagles Fly!
