Tutoring Opportunities at School
  • Library: This quiet space is available for students to work independently.  The library is typically open at 7am, during lunch time and after school on Monday-Thursday until 4pm.
  • Math Squad:  Peer tutors are available to help any student with their math homework.  Held in the 500 Pod on Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays during Academy.  If you are interested in attending, please see your Academy teacher.
  • Saturday School:  Near the end of each semester, high school students are invited to work in the library on three Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM.  Staff are available to help and snacks are provided.  This spring dates are: May 13th, June 3rd, and June 10th.  Contact Sebastian Ziz for more details.

Organizations with tips and resources you can use at home:

  • Tutor Me:  Students may access free one-on-one tutoring in almost any subject offered at Klahowya.  These tutors work with students online via a video platform similar to Zoom.  Students interested in this service should contact their teacher or Sebastian Ziz for more information about how to access this tutoring.

  • CK ClassLink: Access to CK online curriculum from a personal computer. Log in with student computer log in information.

  • enVision Math Help Online MS math help. 

  • Holt Math Curriculum:  Online HS math help.  Sign in using school username and password. 

  •  High School Math Help:  Online KSS HS math help.   

  • Khan Academy: Includes interactive exercises and videos to help in math, science, economics, computing and arts and humanities

  • Great Kids Milestones : Videos describe literacy and math concepts for middle school

  • Be a Learning Hero : Search by state, grade and subject to find homework support resources
