KSS Saturday School
We are running Saturday School tomorrow on January 27th. Saturday School supports students with increasing academic achievement and helps support students with end of semester finals. This year we are opening Saturday School to both High School and Middle School students. Snacks will be provided at each session.
When: Saturday, January 27th 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Where: Klahowya Secondary School
Why: Saturday School is a great opportunity for students to:
- Study in small groups for AP Semester Finals
- Complete group projects for Magnet Courses
- Complete missing or incomplete assignments

Complete test/quiz retakes in a supervised setting
All students are welcome to join us at Saturday School. See you then.
Class of 2024 Boosters Bingo Night Fundraiser
On Sunday, January 28th, there is a
Class of 2024 Boosters Bingo Night fundraiser at Maynard's from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. For more information, join the "Class of 2024" in Final Forms or on Facebook.

On February 6th there is a KSS Boosters meeting at 5:00 pm in the KSS library and following, a Class of 2024 parents meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Middle School Cheer Popcorn Fundraiser
Middle School Cheer is having a
popcorn fundraiser through Double Good from Feb 1st - Feb 5th. 50% of every dollar goes to support our program. There will be virtual flyers going out and up on the screen in the commons closer to the event and will include the website and QR code.
January Is Mental Wellness Month
January celebrates Mental Wellness Month with the hopes of bringing
awareness to mental health disorders, break the stigmas associated with
mental illness and encourage others, or yourself, to seek help. Please see the attached flyer.
Basketball Mardi Gras Beads for Sale
Middle School ASB will be selling black and white basketball Mardi Gras beads before the MS Girl's basketball game on Monday, January 29. Beads cost $2 each. They will also be selling ice cream cups for $1. Supplies are limited, so don't wait. All money will support the next Middle School Social on March 13.
8th Grade Only Dance June 7th, 2024
We are excited to announce that on June 7th, 2024, Klahowya will be hosting our first ever
8th grade only dance.This will be a fun opportunity for the Class of 2028 to celebrate the end of Middle School. The plan is for an evening event with a live D.J. It will be a free event for all 8th graders.
Because this is a new event, we are looking to form a Parent/Family Planning Group. This group would help plan the event, assist with fundraising, and help with decorations and set-up. If you are interested in joining this group, or would like more information, please contact Middle School ASB Advisor Leigh Hampton at: [email protected]. Klahowya Foundation Scholarship Fund
Klahowya Community, do you belong to a business or civic group that is looking for ways to make a difference?
We are actively seeking funds to build our scholarship program again this year and we are asking for your support. Scholarship awards, of any amount, will help Klahowya seniors continue with post-secondary education in colleges, universities and technical schools.
Businesses, civic groups and individuals contributing to our scholarship fund will be listed on our Graduation Commencement Program. In addition, a gift of $250 or more will be listed as a specific scholarship carrying the name of the contributor. Your donation is important to us. Please take some time to consider the amount you are able to send.

School Choice Transfer Requests for 2024 - 2025
Students are encouraged to enroll at their attendance area school, however, if your family would prefer to enroll at a school outside your neighborhood, you may submit a transfer request. Space must be available in a school and/or program before we can approve a transfer and we give priority to resident students of Central Kitsap School District. Transfers are approved on an annual basis and need to be submitted each school year. If you would like to request a transfer for NEXT school year, 2024-2025, please start at this link where you will find information and forms.
