The track & field team participated in the league championships on Saturday on Vashon Island. Congratulations to Kelton Gagnon who was the league champ in the 800m, 1600m and 3200m and Natalie Oathout was the league champ in the 3200m. Athletes who received 2nd place were Maggie Keenan in the 100m and 300m hurdles and Alonna Armstrong in the Pole Vault. 3rd place athletes included Cody Kuss in the 800m, Jayce Wilton in the 110m hurdles and Olivia Wildes in the 800m and 1600m. Athletes who placed in the top 8 will be moving onto districts this weekend at North Mason.

Congratulations to your Eagle Baseball Team! Over the weekend they lost a tough game 7-6 on Friday but bounced back on Saturday with a win. Finishing second in the Nisqually League district playoff earning a spot in the state high school 1A state tournament. Next game is Saturday, May 21st in Wenatchee vs. College Place HS. First pitch is 1 p.m. Go Eagles!

Hey Sophomores and Juniors! Are you interested in making money after school? Would you like to learn how to run an office? You may apply for the C.O.E, Cooperative Office Experience job and work in the Main Office after school. This position pays minimum wage. Work-based learning credit may be earned. Student must be age 16(+) and enrolled in a qualifying CTE course (see Mr. Miles for details). Work hours are 2:45 – 4:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and 1:15 – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The first day of work is August 22st (extended hours until school starts) and the job will end on the last day of school in June. Student and/or parent must provide transportation. Applicants will be required to attend a formal job interview which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 26th. Applicants will be selected based on school attendance, grades, resume content, and interview skills. Pick up an application in the main office then submit application (and optional resume) to Mrs. Deno by 2:45 p.m. on Monday, May 23rd . An invitation indicating interview location and time will be given to applicants by May 24th.
