There is a MANDATORY senior meeting on Tuesday, March 26th in the auditorium from 10:40-11:10. Cap & Gown pick up will directly follow this meeting. High School Tolo Dance
High School students are you ready to dance the night away? Mark your calendars for Friday, March 16th from 7:00-10:00 p.m. for the 2024 TOLO dance. The theme is Emerald City. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 28th and cost $12 with an ASB card, $15 without ASB, and $15 for a guest pass. See you there!

UW Nurse Camp
UW Nurse Camp is a week-long camp at UW Seattle campus from July 15th-19th where campers learn early hands-on skills in patient care, receive mentorships from current UW nursing students, shadow and learn from current nurses in varying specialties on-site at UWMC, and create connections with other students with similar goals and interests. Must be 16 by the start of camp. Sophomore and Juniors, see your Google Classroom for more details. Applications due April 15th.
Healthcare Career Camp
Olympic College, the Marvin Williams Recreation Center, and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health are holding a Healthcare Career Camp on Saturday, April 13th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Marvin Williams Recreation Center (MWRC). The students will have the opportunity to visit booths with real healthcare professionals, participate in simulations, and learn about what prerequisites are necessary to enroll in various programs. The first 50 students to register will get a free t-shirt and there will be opportunities to win prizes. This event is open to parents as well – they will be invited into breakout rooms where they can learn about financial aid and grant opportunities. See flyer for more information and to register.
World Language Proficiency Test for CKSD Students
Test Date: April 17th
Registration Closes: March 27th
Can you fluently read, write, speak, and listen in a language other than English?
If you are a student in grades 7 through 12 in Central Kitsap School District, you can earn high school credit in a world language by successfully passing district-approved assessments and demonstrating your language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the language. Assessments are available for many different world languages, and every effort will be made to provide assessments in any language requested.

Horizon Air Summer Intern Program
The Horizon Air summer internship program gives high school students the opportunity to see the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance & Engineering and Flight Operations divisions at Horizon Air. These amazing internships are open to our students because of our district’s partnership with Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines!
ALL INTERNS WILL BE PAID.
Applications open APR 8. Sign up right away for information directly from Horizon Air Group. Students will then be notified when they open their system to receive applications on April 8th. Must be 16 by June 1, 2024.
Navigating High School and Dual Credit Night March 18th
Navigating High School~ Families are invited to attend our Navigating High School Night here at KSS on Monday, March 18th, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. All 8th grade students and families are encouraged to attend to learn more about selecting the right classes for a smooth transition to high school. Students in high school who need more detailed information about selecting courses should also attend.
Dual Credit Information Night~ Klahowya has many opportunities for students to get college credits while in high school. If you are interested in learning more, please attend Dual Credit Information Night on Monday, March 18th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the KSS Auditorium.
