Eagles, It's Your Future Fair is coming next week, Wednesday, October 14th. We will be on a Thursday bell schedule. There are middle school and high school events planned. Look for more details in homeroom academy next Tuesday!
Weight club will be starting October 20th . It will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:45-7:30 a.m. Sign up in final forms. Any questions please reach out to Sablan or Beloate.
Attention, Academy Reps! Our first Academy Rep meeting is this Friday! All Academy Reps should report to the auditorium on Friday and make sure you sign in when you arrive. Please bring something to write with!
If your Academy Rep cannot make it, make sure your alternate attends in their place. We have lots to talk about, so we’ll see you Friday!
Middle School students, get ready for the Spooktacular Social! Contracts will be available this Friday, and tickets will go on sale next week. Tickets are $7 with ASB and $10 without ASB. We’ll have games, food, costumes, and more! Start getting your costume ideas ready—we’re going to have a spooktacular time!
Want to get more involved and make a difference at Klahowya? ASB elections for our unfilled positions are coming up!

Boys tennis dropped a close one at Annie Wright 2-3. Kade Weber and Fred Zeller once again prove to be an unstoppable force at #2 doubles soaring to a 6-1 6-1 win. 3rd doubles Noah Place and Elliot Mills take advantage of a quick start winning 6-2 7-5. One doubles lost a hard fought 3 setter to last year’s District Champs. The Eagles take on 2nd place Charles Wright at home Thursday.

Congratulations goes out to the JV Football team as they beat East Jefferson, 12-8 in a thriller of a close game that was riddled with penalties. The team got big plays from Angel, Brayden, Braydon, Graham, Ryan, Dalton, and everyone else who played in the game. Our next JV game will be away, next Monday vs Bellevue Christian.
Attention 7th and 8th Graders! Today is the day. Come join the National Junior Honor Society! Our first meeting is today in Room 201 during 2nd lunch. Come learn what NJHS is all about and how you can get involved!

Good morning, Eagles! What a GREAT first day of Spirit Week! We had some serious school spirit yesterday, and the points are already getting competitive!

Congratulations to 8th grade for taking the lead after Day 1! But there is a LOT of Spirit Week left, so anyone can make a move! Today’s theme is Animal Print or Brown. Don’t forget to stop by the Spirit Shack during lunch to check in and get your points! Tomorrow is Surfers & Tourists—or show your spirit with PINK!
And don’t forget: tomorrow during lunch is CLUB RUSH! All of our clubs have been invited to set up a table and share what their club is all about. Stop by the Commons during lunch, check out the different clubs, talk to students and advisors, and find something you might want to be a part of this year.
Knowledge Bowl practice/info meeting is postponed until next week Tuesday, October 6th. No meeting today after school.

Boys tennis step up to beat last years league champs Cascade Christian 4-1. #2 Singles Braden Kimble played a tremendous match winning 7-6 3-6 10-8. First doubles Kade Weber and Fred Zeller overcame a tough second set 6-3 5-7 10-6. Jack Lindberg and Gabe Gonzales dismantled their opponent 6–3 6-1 to win #2 doubles. 3rd doubles Noah Place and Elliot Mills had little trouble winning 6-1 6-0. Next up the Eagles travel to Olympic League powerhouse North Kitsap on Monday.

Boys tennis handles East Jefferson 4-1. #1 Singles Asher Roark made quick work of his opponent 6-1 6-2. #1 Doubles Kade Weber and Fred Zeller clicked after dropping the first game winning 6-1 6-0. Noah Place and Leland Geiger looked like they had played together all year, winning 6-0 6-0 at 2nd doubles. 3rd doubles Braden Kimble and Ethan Cochran made solid adjustments to win 7-5 6-0. The Eagles are at Cascade Christian Thursday.

Boys tennis opened up a Bagel Factory at Life Christian Monday winning 5-0. Asher Roark cruises 6-2 6-1 at #1 singles. Kade Weber added the first bagel of the day 6-1 6-0. It was on after that as #1 doubles Jack Lindberg/Gabe Gonzales, #2 Doubles Elliot Mills/Ethan Mills, and #3 Doubles Carsen Hamre/Rylan Scholl Rolled 6-0 6-0. The Eagles host East Jefferson today.
Attention National Honor Society members!All returning NHS members will have a meeting this Thursday morning at 7:20 AM in the library. Jesus club will be hosting See you at the Pole tomorrow from 7:00-7:30. See you at the pole is a national day of student-led prayer where middle and high school students from all around the country gather to pray for their schools, teachers, classmates, families and nation. We are excited to begin transitioning to a more flexible Academy model for high school students. Under this model, students will have opportunities to connect with teachers for academic support, enrichment, make-up work, or other learning needs based on their individual goals and progress. Attendance will still be taken during Academy, so it is important that all students report immediately to an Academy location at the start of the period. This helps ensure accurate attendance and allows students to access the support they need. We encourage all students to use Academy time purposefully and take advantage of the opportunities available to help you succeed.

Boys tennis dropped a tough one to league leading Vashon Island 2-3. 1st double Gabe Gonzales and Jack Lindberg played their best match of the year winning 7-6 6-4. 2nd doubles Kade Webber and Fred Zeller were on fire taking down their opponent 7-5 6-4. The Eagles dropped 2nd singles and 3rd double in tough 3 set matches. The boys travel to LCA on Monday.
Last night the girls soccer team faced off against the 4A South Kitsap Wolves. While the JV played hard, they were unable to find a victory. Then the varsity kicked off and almost immediately, Sylvia Kemp took the ball down the outside and crossed to freshman Skyla Hamley who put the ball in the back of the net for a goal in 45 seconds. The rest of the game was a battle. With Abbie Frohman leading the defense, and Eee-suh Perez-Giner in goal, the Eagles shut down the wolf attacks for 78 minutes and brought home a 1-0 victory.
Did you know there are bees nests in the wooded area out back? Please leave them alone. BEE nice, BEE kind, let them BEE!

Boys Tennis squeaked out a close one beating Bremerton 4-3. It was a doubles sweep for the Eagles but it wasn’t easy. 1st doubles Jack Lindberg/Gabe Gonzales won 7-5 6-3. Fred Zeller/Kade Weber came alive in the 3rd set winning #2 doubles 6-4 5-7 6-0. Last year's 3rd doubles team Noah Place/Elliot Mills found their old magic cruising to a 6-2 6-0 W. 4th doubles Ryland Koebelin/Leland Geiger dug deep sealing the win for the boys 4-6 6-2 6-4. Next up at CWA today.

We will hold our first DECA meeting of the year on today at 2:40 in Room 128. We'll discuss what DECA is and what it can do for students and what events we will be participating in this year. We will hold our first DECA meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 8 at 2:40 in Room 128. We'll discuss what DECA is and what it can do for students and what events we will be participating in this year. All KSS high school students are welcome. This first meeting will last between 30 and 45 minutes. If you have questions, please talk to Ms Shaw in room 128.

Boys Tennis win 7 of 10 Sets at the South Kitsap Jamboree. The Eagles went 3-1 vs Sequim, 2-1 vs Port Angeles, 1-1 vs South Kitsap and 1-0 vs Bremerton. Kade Weber, Fred Zeller, Leland Geiger, and Ryland Koebelin all were undefeated on the day. League play starts at Seattle Christian on Tuesday.
