A Message from Principal McDaniel   Go Eagles!

Hello Klahowya Eagles and Families,

As we conclude October, I want to thank you for your continued support. We know that attending virtual school is difficult and we really miss having you on campus!

This week we had a couple of opportunities to hear from our students in focus groups. We truly appreciated hearing their perspective and have plans to continue this work. In the next few weeks, we will also provide a few "Coffee Talks" for families to connect with our admin team. More details will be sent out on these soon.

Next week we are excited to welcome back many of our high school students for athletic conditioning. Please don't forget that it will be a busy weekend... there is a full moon, fall festivities and the clocks fall back 1 hour. (Please don't forget to change your clocks.

Stay Healthy and we look forward to seeing you in Google Meets next week!

Scott McDaniel

SENIORS AND FAMILIES- SSC staff are already deep into college application season and post high school planning with seniors answering application & FAFSA questions, submitting Coalition, Common Application and preparing school reports and counselor recommendations. Seniors use to submit official transcripts to their selected colleges. Students should plan to allow any staff member whom they request a letter of recommendation from at least two weeks to complete a quality letter. This is a busy time of year for sure, however, seniors will have a few weeks to take a breather from applications over the holidays before diving into scholarship preparation. For more information on future planning, scholarships, and college applications, visit our website HERE!

Talking to your family can be hard, it doesn't matter the topic. It gets easier when we do it in positive ways and more often. One way to start your whole family talking is in family meetings. You can use a form or wing it. The goal is to try a meeting. Let each person talk. Let each person know events for the week. Enjoy each other.
