If health conditions in our county allow, current CKSD juniors have the option of taking the PSAT test at their high school on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The test is free to CKSD students. The deadline for registration is Friday, December 18, 2020.

Register for the PSAT

We are able to offer this opportunity if Kitsap Public Health District reports that it is safe to bring students in for testing. If not, we will cancel this test and notify the College Board we are unable to proctor. Students will complete a health attestation and temperature check before entry, wear masks, and sit at least 6 feet from other students while taking the exam.

The PSAT is a national test students take to practice for the SAT. A student's score, in combination with their GPA, could qualify them for entry to the National Merit® Scholarship Program and possible scholarships.

Students should plan for 3 hours of test taking time. If you have additional questions about the PSAT please contact your high school counselor or review information at the College Board website .

Tech Tip  Tech Talk

Sometimes when Chromebooks are running a bit slow and sluggish, it's because students are not shutting down correctly. Instead of shutting the screen at night, students should do a full shut down. To do this, click on the clock area in the lower right hand corner of the Chromebook and click the "shut down" icon (image below). This will ensure a good night's sleep for your Chromebook and it will wake up nice and happy for another day's work. As always, if you have any tech issues, make sure to contact Mr. Backlund geoffreyb@ckschools.org

We may live together, BUT that does not mean we know each other. What a better way to learn more about who you live with than introducing them to the rest of your family.

Partner Introductions get family members to know each other in a safe and fun way. People have things that they don't share with others. Sometimes they like to keep things to themselves. Sometimes they just aren't asked. So, ask away and see what you get.
