A message from Principal McDaniel

Hello Klahowya Eagles and Families!

Klahowya Seconday School is pleased to announce that after School tutoring starts Monday, September 20.  Students will have tutoring available in the library each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:40 - 4:15 p.m.  Activity buses with limited stops will leave the school at 4:15 p.m. Activity buses run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.  See the activity bus schedule here.

We look forward to seeing you next week at Open House Thursday, September 23.  We will be sending a notification with links to staff videos for those who prefer to participate virtually.  In-person Open House participation is done based on your last name:  A-K:  6:00 - 7:00 p.m.   |    L-Z:  7:00 - 8:00 p.m.  As a reminder, Open House allows you to visit teachersin their classrooms in an open, free flowing format.  We look forward to opening our doors to our families and seeing you.  Please wear masks and help us maintain 6 foot distance.  If you have any Covid symptoms, please stay home and participate virtually.

PTSA / Boosters

Please save the date.  The next meeting of our PTSA/Boosters is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12.  PTSA meets at 6:00 p.m. followed by Boosters at 6:30 p.m.  


The PSAT (practice test for the SAT) will be given to all juniors at no charge on Wednesday, October 13th from 7:45-11:30.  Juniors will be given their test prep materials and admit ticket next week.  There are a limited number of tickets available to our Freshman and Sophomores who choose to take the test.  If interested, students may purchase test tickets ($18) at the bookkeeper’s office, then bring their receipt to the SSC.  Questions?  Call 360-662-4042 or email [email protected]


A note from Attendance 

If you are unable to send note and need to pick up your student early, please give us at least 30 minutes to get them from class. Please report all absences, tardies and dismissals to (360) 662-4031 or [email protected].  Due to new health guidelines, all absences need to be reported as soon as possible.
