2023-2024 High School Course Selection kicks off next week!
On Monday, March 13th during Academy students in grades 8-11 will be getting 2023-2024 Course Selection Materials and a video instructional lesson. In the next few weeks, they will be making thoughtful course choices for next year. Over these upcoming weeks, counselors will be roaming academy classes to answer questions and will be available at lunches on March 17, 20 and 22 for questions. All 8-11th grade students have created a 4-year High School and Beyond Plan with Mr. Miles that has been updated each year. Students can visit the SSC and ask Mrs. Haydock for a copy of their High School and Beyond Plan to review when making course selection choices. Unfortunately, counselors are unable to meet individually for appointments with students during this time but will be able to answer questions during Academy, at lunches and at our Navigating High School and Dual Credit Informational Night.
Families are invited to attend our Navigating High School and Dual Credit Informational Night here at KSS on Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:00 pm. All 8th grade students and families are encouraged to attend Navigating High School event to learn more about selecting the right classes for a smooth transition to high school. Students in high school who need more detailed information about selecting courses should also attend.
Klahowya has many opportunities for students to get college credits while in high school. If you are interested in learning more, please attend Dual Credit Informational Night on Wednesday, March 22 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 in the KSS Auditorium.
