A Message from Principal McDaniel

Hello Klahowya Families,

Today we said congratulations to Seniors on Track B for their last day at school and we look forward to congratulating the rest of our Senior Class next week! As we approach graduation, we encourage all students and families to send your best wishes to our graduating seniors. We are excited for their accomplishments and wish them the best as they transition to post-secondary plans. Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

Next week we have a few events happening to commemorate our Seniors. Please see the calendar below for details:

  • June 8th, Tuesday – Last School Day on Campus for Track A Seniors
  • June 9th, Wednesday – 5:00pm-7:00pm – Enchanted Forest Senior Dinner and Graduation and Packet Pickup
  • June 10th, Thursday – 10:00am-12:00pm – Graduation Practice (Graduation Ticket Disbursement)
  • June 12th, Saturday - Graduates arrive on campus at 10am for Pictures and Rehearsal
  • June 12th, Saturday – 2:00pm-3:00pm – Class of 2021 Graduation

For all students and families, now is the time to turn in any remaining work for classes. We would like all students to head into summer with great grades! If you are looking for summer classes and activities, please check out the following:

CKSD Summer School - (Classes and Credits)

  • Current grades 8–12: FREE
  • Current grades 5-7: $100
  • Eligible Low-income Families or Native American Education: FREE

CKSD Reimagine Summer Camps - (Week long Camps for All Grades)

  • FREE to students in ALL Grades

We wish you the best as we enter our last full week of school. As a reminder, the last day of school is on Wednesday, June 16th and Academy will occur at 9am on this day.

High in Plain Sight: Substance Abuse Prevention Training

Officer Galloway will be presenting this FREE training virtually! This workshop is for law enforcement, educators, prevention providers, coalition members, probation officers, school administration, treatment counselors, and parents.

You will learn about current trends in: Alcohol and drug clothing, logos, and stickers; Signs and symptoms; Alcohol and drug concealment methods and containers; Drug paraphernalia (marijuana concentrates, dabbing); Drug related music and groups; New technology, youth party tendencies & party games; Social networking sites; Synthetic & OTC drugs and so much more!

High School Athletics Update

Interested in learning about Klahowya High School Athletics for the 2021-22 school year?   Come meet our coaches!! 

Coaches will be in the commons area on Tuesday, June 8th (for cohort A students) and Thursday, June 10 (for cohort B students) from 1:15-2:15pm.  

Cohort C students are also welcome, please check in at the main office.
