Why do we need to check the attendance of students?
Research has shown that regular attendance and academic achievement are closely linked, and many universities find that by monitoring student attendance they are able to identify students who need support at an early stage and put in place measures to help them continue their studies.
The weather is getting nicer and there will be classes that head outside for the period, please remember to call in AT LEAST 30 minutes in advance to have your student in the office within a timely manner.
Mornings are very busy in the office, if you reach the attendance voicemail, please leave a message. I will clear your students’ late arrivals and /or absence by the end of the day or sooner.
360-662-4031 is the attendance line and is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. ~ Terri McKinnis [email protected]
