A NOTE FROM ATTENDANCE

What are some facts about the importance of school attendance?

The correlation between attendance and dropout rates has important ramifications that go beyond the classroom. Compared to their peers who graduate, students who fail to complete their high school education are more likely to live in poverty, suffer poor health, and become involved in the criminal justice system.

If your student comes down with Covid, please do not send them to school and let Attendance know.  We are still required to report Covid to the Health Department.

Please remember to give us AT LEAST 30 minutes to have your student(s) released early. The weather is getting warmer, and many classes are being held outside. As with regular PE classes, this always takes extra time to find students.  It is preferable to send a note with your student to get an early release and/or a bus pass.
