Holiday Cheer

Holly sprig

It’s that time of the year when we begin to think about the upcoming holidays and ways we can celebrate together. Some of you may be needing assistance, some of you may know of a family who needs assistance, and some of you may be wondering how you can help! We are asking interested families to fill out this confidential Holiday Cheer Form so we can best come together and serve our Klahowya families.

Attendance

What are the benefits of good attendance?

Good attendance habits pay off! More school days attended increases a child's academic success, improves their chances to earn a high school diploma and a college degree, so they can earn higher pay in their careers. 80% of success is showing up! School keeps you safe, it educates you, it prepares you for your future.

Please remember to call in at least 30 minutes in advance to have your student released early.

Federal Impact Aid

Every year Central Kitsap School District must apply for Federal Impact Aid funds from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property in the Silverdale and Bremerton area.

CKSD must conduct a federal residence and employment survey on a yearly basis to obtain a current count of families in the district who live on/or work on federal property. The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds. This survey is critical to our district’s resources for students. The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds.

Please return your student’s Purple card ASAP or fill it out on-line  https://www.ckschools.org/cms/one.aspx?portalid=11175&pageid=35098
