In preparation of the Veterans Day assembly that will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, ASB is wanting to collect photos of veterans from the Klahowya community. We are requesting photos of you, family members, loved ones that have served in our Armed Forces. If you could use the form linked below to complete this task, we would be grateful.

SOCTOBER is in its final stretch. The number one need for homeless shelters is socks!!! Donations of NEW socks are being collected in donation bins outside the Activities office all week. The class with the most socks donated will have an ice cream party.

We will be offering the ASVAB on 10/26/22 from 8-11 in the multi-purpose room, next to the weight room. Students may sign up in the SSC. Next testing dates are Dec. 7th, February 15th and April 19th.

College visits will take place during Academy and a sign up sheet will be posted in junior and senior Google Classrooms.

AP Students and Families: The deadline for AP exam deposits has passed. If you missed that deadline, please contact our bookkeeper, Mrs. Gotchall. If you are on financial assistance and have not yet contacted Mrs. Gotchall, please let her know on Monday.
*Please note that students and families may request financial assistance by contacting the bookkeeper, their counselor, or the Main Office. There are also scholarships available through KSS funds. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.
If you need your child released before scheduled end of day dismissal, please send them to school with a note to take to the Main Office as they arrive. If that is not possible, please call 360-662-4031 at your earliest opportunity to make arrangements for early dismissal. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes from time of notification to time of early dismissal.

GoGuardian Parent App is going LIVE November 1
|

The GoGuardian Parent App allows parents to manage their child’s browsing activity outside of the school hours. In-school hours are currently set to M-F 6:30am - 4:30pm. The hours outside of this schedule are considered out-of-school hours. The GoGuardian Parent App settings will not affect student access to sites during school hours.

-Thoughts of suicide.
-Mental health crises.
-Substance use crises.

Middle School Off Season Conditioning Starting Soon!
Calling all Middle School athletes! Are you looking for a way to stay active in between sports seasons? Do you want to prepare for an upcoming season? Or maybe you just like spending time outside on the trails. If any of these apply, then consider joining Middle School Off Season Conditioning, starting Wednesday, November 9. Every Wednesday, November 9 through March 8, we will be meeting between 3 PM and 4 PM and spending time on the Heritage Park trails. Runners/walkers of all paces are welcome. Registration is now open in Final Forms; all paperwork must be completed prior to participating. We would also welcome some High School Managers willing to run with us. On Monday, October 24, Klahowya is privileged to host the Washington State Middle School League Track and Field Championship! Come out and support our Middle School athletes at 3:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to watch some exciting athletes—including 20 of our own—up close!
