A message from Principal McDaniel

Hello Klahowya Families and Students,

Semester 2 class schedules are posted in PowerSchool for all families and students to review. Students, please make sure to check out your schedule before we begin Semester 2 on Monday, January 31st.Enjoy this weekend without homework and rest up for a successful second semester!

A few things to mention as we start the new semester:

  • At the end of the day during student pick up, we appreciate your help in keeping lanes clear for emergency vehicles and personal vehicles to drive through.
  • If you are looking to set up an early dismissal, the best way to notify our office is to send your child with a note at the beginning of the day. If that is not possible, an email (as early as possible) is recommended. If you have unexpected changes in plans, please call us an hour in advance so we can have time to process and deliver a pass to your child with the least disruption to their class.
  • The use of cell phones and ear buds should not be used during class time unless student’s current teacher gives permission to use them. If there is an emergency, students should talk with teachers before using cell phones.
  • To support high school students with academics, we are continuing our Saturday Study Hall during Semester 2. Saturday Study Hall is now open to ALL High School students and it will occurevery other weekend. See more information below.

We are grateful for having your student here at Klahowya and look forward to giving students a clean slate and a fresh start for the secondhalf of the 21-22 school year!
