A message from Principal McDaniel

Hello Klahowya Families and Students,

It was wonderful seeing so many Klahowya families participating in conferences via Zoom and in-person! Our Klahowya staff enjoys the opportunity to connect individually with you and your students. We know many of you would like to follow-up and provide additional input, so we encourage you to fill out our Conference Feedback Survey so we can benefit from your comments and suggestions.

Central Kitsap School District also has a family survey which we would like your input on by November 1. The family survey can be filled out here . Students will be given the opportunity to participate in filling out a similar student survey on Friday, October 29 during their Academy class. Students may opt out of this survey.

From our conferences and other conversations, we know families have the desire for more academic resources. We offer FREE tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays after school in the Library. Our tutoring program is facilitated by former mathematics teacher Catherine Pitcher and assisted by Betty Worrell who has twenty years of experience as a Para-Educator. Activity Bus transportation is available at 4:15 p.m. You can find more information on tutoring including bus schedules and maps on the Klahowya website here.

We appreciate your partnership in creating learning. We have an amazing community!

Thank you,

Scott McDaniel

Our Homecoming halftime celebration will be postponed until our next game on Thursday Oct 28th against East Jefferson. We are still excited to host our Homecoming event this Saturday evening on Oct 23. We are looking forward to seeing all high school who have purchased tickets 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at our Cosmic Karaoke event.
