Career Center

Office Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Career Center staff is available to assist students in examining career opportunities, in planning high school course selections relating to education/career goals and to help students investigate the transition from school to work.  In addition, each student will have the opportunity to develop a Personal Career Portfolio.  Career Center activities are advertised in the daily bulletin and school broadcasts, posted on bulletin boards and published in the Klahowya newsletter.

Through reference materials, computer software, career internet sites, career assessments, guest speakers, and related activities, we hope to encourage students to think about and plan for life beyond high school.

Check out the WOIS (Washington Occupational Information System) Web site via the internet.  The Web site address and site key information can be obtained in the Student Service Center.  Scholarship opportunities may also be available to seniors who use WOIS as part of their career search process.  The WOIS Web site will link you to:

  • Career Information Resources

  • Federal and State Agencies

  • Schools on the Web (Washington and elsewhere)

  • Career Information Systems in other states

  • Test Preparation (SAT, ACT, ASVAB and more)

In today's world, change occurs rapidly and most people will experience several career moves and multiple jobs during their working years.  The more students can prepare...through training, education and work experience...the better equipped they will be to face employment opportunities and challenges.
