It’s been a busy fall! Next month we’ll welcome students into Silverdale Elementary’s new classroom wing and planning a grand opening celebration for the Olympic High School addition. 

Silverdale Elementary

Staff toured the new wing in November.

Status: Staff got a sneak peek—and they loved it! Finish work is wrapping up and technology installation is underway.

What’s next: Furniture will be in place this month. Move-in is scheduled for December.   

Safety & Security Improvements

Keyless entry systems will be installed along with entryway construction.

Status: Work will begin at Brownsville, Esquire Hills, PineCrest and Woodlands elementary schools at the end of November.

What’s next: Four more schools open bids next month.

Klahowya Secondary

Status: Installation of a new mural on the stairwell outside the auxiliary gym is complete. Permits have been submitted for grandstands

What’s next: We expect to award the bid for the grandstands in December. Construction is now planned for January.

 

Olympic High

Second floor OHS counseling office

Status: One temporary wall down, one to go! Classrooms and the counseling center on the second floor of the addition are now open.

What’s next: Work on first floor classrooms, main entrance, library and theater will wrap up by year end.

CK High & CK Middle

Gym floor installation at CKMS

Status:  Crews have finished painting the tracks around the fields. Installation has begun on the CK Middle School gym floor.

What’s next: Furniture will be ordered soon, as interior work continues. Progress is on-track for a spring move-in at CK Middle.
